As a child, I found magic in the dark. When insomnia kept me from sleep, storytelling and imagination passed the time. Now, I strive to put the magic my younger self discovered into my books. I write whimsical and expansive worlds about unlikely heroes whose struggles make, not break them. I’m a YA Fantasy author, pastor’s kid, Author Conservatory graduate, and chronic illness veteran. I write because I believe the world was made for unlikely heroes and our struggles make us more capable of fulfilling God’s story for our lives.

When I’m not writing, you can find me crafting, listening to movie soundtracks, teaching piano, or watching far too many behind-the-scenes compilations from my favorite movies (c’mon, you know you do it too 😉).
